NEWS Christmas is fast approaching and may I take this opportunity to wish all my customers:- A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS and JOYFUL NEW YEAR! Thank you again for your valued support and interest in my work. The lead up to Christmas is always very busy for me and I have been mostly working on private commissions, but to ease myself into the 'Christmasy' mood I always like to paint a few seasonal paintings that reflect this magical time of year. I love the beauty of cold frosty mornings and the warmth of log fires, the smells of pine trees and evergreens and rich Christmas food. Above: Pheasants in the snow I have been delighted to donate one of my paintings to Lincoln University Fine Art department, for their auction on the 28th November to raise money for their degree show. I was very flattered to have been asked alongside many other fine art artists. I decided submit a cat portrait. I wish them all the best. Above: Donated Cat Portrait
COMING SOON My research into the history of miniature paintings and artists has been continuing but at a slower pace, due to workload and other commitments. I shall be continuing on with this project in the new year. Winter and Christmas subjects will be in the forefront of my painting schedules in the coming weeks. Right: Winter Bouquet My next new painting notice will be in the New Year but I shall still be adding new items as and when I can.		COMMISSIONS Thank you again to everyone who has commissioned paintings these last few weeks. It is always a pleasure to work on such personal requests for paintings. I have found that Portrait Miniatures are becoming increasingly desirable again, a rather charming tradition that was very popular in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Right: Private commission
