Five Apples - Still Life

This painting depicts five crisp red apples and an old fashioned stone cider flagon. The white folds of the tablecloth provides a sharp contrast within the still life.

Poppy Field at Argenteuil - landscape

This painting after Claude Monet was originally painted around 1873. It really encapsulates a feeling of summer warm. Monet is my favourite impressionist painter.

Self Portrait in a Straw Hat

After Elisabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun painted in 1782. Elisabeth was a French painter, and is considered to be the most famous woman painter of the eighteenth century. Her style is generally considered Rococo.

WELCOME

A warm welcome to all my valued customers. I would like to introduce my newly designed new paintings notification which I hope will be of interest.

In recent months I have been experimenting with different scales in order to appeal to a wider range of collectors. It has been an enjoyable challenge and I have now produced works in 1/12, 1/24 ,1/48 and 1/64 scales.

I have been combining my love of history with my painting and in my spare time have been researching in particular into 15th and 16th century artists and their styles. I have been fascinated by the work of Niccolo di Giacomo, Simon Bening, Hans Holbein the younger and Nicholas Hillard, all of who painted in miniature at times.

COMING SOON

Now that Autumn is just around the corner, my thoughts are turning once again to the richness of colours that will be around. Harvest time provides me with a lot of inspiration and no doubt my paintings will reflect this in coming weeks.
