George IV after George Stubbs

George IV, when Prince of Wales. A 1/24 scale painting. George Stubbs painted this portrait in 1791 and is now in the Royal Collection. George IV is portrayed riding a chestnut horse. In the distance is a view of Westminster and a stretch of water which is probably the Serpentine.

The Bathers - after William Adolphe Bouguereau

William-Adolphe Bouguereau 1825 – 1905, a French academic painter who was a staunch traditionalist. His realistic genre paintings and mythological themes were modern interpretations of Classical subjects with a heavy emphasis on the female human body. Although he created an idealised world, his almost photo-realistic style was popular with rich art patrons. He was very famous in his time but today his subject matter and technique receive relatively little attention compared to the popularity of the Impressionists.

Still Life with Lemons - after Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso born in 1881
was an Spanish painter, draughtsman, and sculptor. As one of the most recognised figures in 20th-century art, he is best known for co-founding the Cubist movement and for the wide variety of styles embodied in his work.

NEWS

Now that Spring is around the corner, I've been giving my online shop a clean up and firstly I wish to announce that:

MY SPRING SALE IS NOW ON!

I've added some new categories to my shop in order to increase my range of art available, hopefully something to suit all tastes.

A very exciting and colourful addition to my site is the new contemporary art section, for lovers of all things modern. The range includes original paintings and poster prints in three scales to enhance any dolls house set towards the end of the 1800's right up to the present day.

On looking back through all my miniature paintings that I have accomplished over the years, I thought it would be lovely to be able to share some of them again in the form of gloss prints.

I am happy to be able to present some past works in small collection sheets in several scales. All being well, these will increase over time.

Miniature picture frames are now available in another section of my shop in which to mount them.

More original paintings both traditional and modern are on the agenda these coming months. Also, I have noticed an increasing demand for a variety of scales in paintings which I hope to address.I always have so many ideas I would like to explore - I wish I could paint faster!
