He received a number of commissions for paintings for the Palais de Versailles. he was also a excellent tapestry designer.
Gentleman's Accoutrements
A Still Life with a more masculine flavour both in colour and subject..... pipe, matches, a good book, newspaper and a tankard.
Ideal for a library setting, or the study of a Victorian/Edwardian Gentleman.
Full Sail
A small painting suitable for a 1/24 (1/2")
scale setting. It depicts the type of ship that sailed on the high seas in the 1700's. They carried the world's richest cargoes of silver and gold bullion on their outward journeys to buy the fabled goods of the east such as tea, spices, furniture, Chinese porcelain, jade, and jewellery. These cargoes were worth millions even in those days and had to be defended against pirates so they were heavily armed with up to 50 guns.

NEWS
Easter is upon us again and this time if year has brought me some fresh ideas.
I have been very busy working on a mail order catalogue, something th at I have had many requests for over the years, but never got around to making.
It is a full colour 64 page booklet packed with paintings that can be commissioned, framed prints and vintage photographs, print sheets and posters and a miniature picture frame section. I have included a gallery of past paintings as well, to give a flavour of the possibilities that are on offer. I hope that I have included items to suit all pockets and tastes.

I have recently been researching into to early modern art era of the mid 1800's up until the 1940's
It has been extremely inspiring, being a lover of bright colours and I'm in the process of producing some works from a very vibrant and exciting time in art history. They will be for sale in my contemporary art section.
