Dollshouse Paintings - 1/2 1/24 and1/48 scale (1" 1/2" and 1/4" )

I supply high quality miniature works of art to suit all tastes and for lovers of dollshouse art..

I enjoy reproducing the works of old masters and artisans, creating miniature masterpieces, but I have a great interest in history and a lot of my paintings reflect this - particularly historical figures, costume and buildings. I particularly admire the works of Thomas Gainsborough, Edgar Degas, John William Waterhouse and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Other subjects I enjoy painting are landscapes, botanical studies, birds, animals (especially cat portraits), wildlife and still life.

I find that acrylic paint is the best medium as it can be applied as finely as watercolour for delicate work, or as thickly as oils, to achieve deep rich undertones thus enabling me to create picture styles in whatever mood takes me. I use good quality paint and acid-free paper and I make individual frames from wooden mouldings which I finish with gold lacquer or varnish. Recently I have introduced the use of some beautiful highly decorated resin frames for my paintings providing an extremely rich feel to the end result.

All paintings are lightly varnished to protect and preserve them.

My paintings are mostly 1/12th or 1/24th scale and have been bought both by dolls house enthusiasts and miniature picture collectors throughout Europe and America but also worldwide. A small painting also makes a perfect and unusual christmas or birthday gift to a loved one, a portrait of a favourite pet, person or famous building are just some of the many possibilities. More recently I have produced some 1/48 scale paintings.

Miniature Dolls House Picture Frames

Due to demand, I can now offer a range of miniature frames. All have rebated backs to allow for a picture to be slotted in.

Available in wood and resin and in gold and mahogany finishes in several different sizes. Please contact me if you need to order larger quantities. Please note that some frames are made to order, so will not be dispatched immediately. The range, I hope, will increase in time.

1:24th and 1:12th Scale Miniature Fabric

A brand and exciting new product for 2010, but going back to my textile design roots.

I can now offer a range of designer printed textiles based on my paintings and designs. I'm offering material collections that can be mixed and matched to provide unique colour schemes. Available in three different fabric weights for uses ranging from dolls dressmaking, to furnishings and upholstery. Also available are cut and sew cushion or chair panels to match the fabric collections, to provide a further coordinated look to your dolls house.

I am hoping to expand the fabric collection over time and I hope that my work appeals to all DIY enthusiasts; to provide something to match in to what ever era and scale they are trying to create.

Miniature Victorian Photographs, Posters, Framed Prints and Printed Collections

I can also offer other handcrafted pictures/art for your dolls house settings. Whether your house is post 1900, Victorian, Tudor, Rococo or set in another historical time, I sell variety of prints to enhance any wall.

Looking back at my past paintings, I have decided that it would be really nice to be able to provide prints of some of the best ones. So for a new addition there are some rather colourful and exciting poster prints , scaled down into three sizes, 1/12, 1/24 and 1/48.

Also available are some fabulous collections of prints of previous works to make your own pictures. Ideal for an instant ,quick and cost effective make over to enhance any doll house. Printed with a gloss finish and grouped in pleasing combinations. They are presented with colourful surrounds, that can be included as a mount when framing the picture print.

Framed ready to hang prints of some of my paintings also can be purchased.

Miniature sepia photographs depicting life and bygone times of the victorian and edwardian eras are printed on gloss photographic paper and mounted into quality handcrafted wooden dollshouse picture frames. These photographs will bring a truly realistic look to any room setting.

On confirmation of your order you will be taken to the Pay Pal payment page.  At this point, you can either pay using a credit card or, if you are not already a member of Pay Pal, you can register with them if you wish (a quick and painless, free process).
